About Abbey Farm
The Family – Rob is the 4th generation of the Williams family that has farmed Abbey Farm for over 120 years.
As with all farming families, Rob started working with his father, Gwynfor, from an early age, with Lewis and Owen showing a keen interest in carrying on the family tradition. Sadly, with the passing of Rob’s parents in 2014, Rob, Celia, Lewis and Owen moved into the farmhouse. Having had a successful career in Construction, in 2020, Celia hung up her suits for wellies to join Rob to run the family farm.
Traditionally a milking farm but today, is a mixed farm with over 300 cows and 600 sheep enjoying the 350 acres of beautiful countryside.
The caravan site has a long history in 1955, Rob’s parents were granted planning permission to use the land as a trailer caravan camp for 5 units, and this is where the Abbey Farm caravan site began. In May 2021, Celia and Rob were granted planning permission to extend the site, which now offers 52 tourer pitches, 6 static pitches and 3 luxury glamping pods.
A real family affair with everyone being involved in making sure the guests have a great stay with excellent facilities and a very warm welcome.
Our glamping provides an exceptional experience and includes a hot tub.

Abbey Farm has an exciting history dating back to 1258 where a Dominican Friary once stood. The farmhouse was built in the early 1800s with the surrounding farm buildings dating back as early as 1283. Research suggests that the main farm building to the South of farmyard, was the friars dormitory.
There are plenty of artifacts can still be seen in the buildings today such as the 14th Century Tomb slab located over the doorway in Workshop range.
The tourer park and luxury glamping pods are located on a spacious field overlooking the Clwydian Mountain ranges. The field is within part of Site of Norman Borough of Rhuddlan, a Scheduled Ancient Monument so truly is a unique place to stay.
