About Stella’s snug
Named after our much loved sheep dog Stella who sadly passed away in 2018. We chose her from a litter that a local farmer gifted us as a wedding present in 2003. She was playful, loyal, talented and named after Rob’s favourite drink!
Stella’s snug is ideal for 2 adults, tastefully decorated complete with all the practical things you need for the perfect self-catering stay.
Our luxury Glamping Pod With Hot Tub
Stella’s Snug also offers you a very special experience with our Scandinavian wood-fired hot tub. As the name suggests, it is like an open fire and needs lots of special attention which we think is part of the experience – the enjoyment of creating the fire that heats your hot tub.
Once warm, you can sit back with a glass of wine, relax and take in the stunning views across the Clwydian mountain range whilst our mischievous cows or sheep entertain you.

Stylish & Fully equipped
We’ve tried to think of everything to make your luxury stay super special. The non-smoking glamping pod is fully self-contained, double glazed with underfloor heating and en-suite with shower complete with luxurious toiletries.
The beautifully handmade kitchenette provides you with everything you need for a self-catering stay. Finished with stunning granite worktop, gas hob, stainless steel Belfast sink and integrated fridge and microwave. A modern table and chairs for you to enjoy your meals or to play games complete with Bluetooth speaker and USB points to keep you fully charged.
Having a great night’s sleep is so important so we hope our memory foam mattress with Egyptian cotton bedding, luxury quilt and pillows does the trick. The gas-lift bed is the perfect storage answer for all your belongings.
You can relax and watch TV on the 3 seater velvet sofa finished with comfy pillows and colourful throw.
Enjoy The Stunning Views
Nothing lifts the spirits in the morning more than the bird’s dawn chorus and you will not be disappointed. The glamping pods are positioned to make the most of the stunning views across the Clwydian mountain ranges.
The decked porch leads to your own Welsh slate patio area also complete with bistro table and chairs so you can enjoy your morning cuppa as the sun rises. Our mischievous cows and sheep will no doubt come and say hello with Buster and Jess, our sheep dogs, popping along to see how you are.
In the evening, you can enjoy roasting marshmallows on the fire pit or enjoy your BBQ whilst watching the mountains change their colours whilst the sun goes down.
Wood-fired hot tub
Stella’s Snug is no ordinary glamping pod with hot tub. Our hot tub is wood-fired and comes from the luxurious Swedish company Hikki, beautifully made from aluminum with a comfortable oak interior – it is simply a lovely outdoor bathing experience.
It is a unique and Eco-friendly way to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of a hot tub experience, a perfect addition to Stella’s snug.
Instead of relying on electricity, the water is heated by a wood-burning stove and there’s nothing as nice as the crackling sound of firewood and the smell of wood smoke on a summer evening to relax you.
Just make sure you prepare for your visit to make the most of this lovely experience as the bath takes around 2 hours to heat up. We will fill the bath with water and prepare the wood for you to light when you are ready.
Once the fire is lit, just sit back, relax with a glass of wine, and enjoy the stunning views taking the time to feed the burner with logs every 15 minutes or so.
It is well known that wood-fired hot tubs have many benefits from easing muscle tension and fatigue to reducing headaches. So combine that with being outdoors overlooking the stunning Clwydian mountain ranges – with a few playful sheep and cows nearby – and you will be sure to have a great sense of well being and a great night’s sleep to follow.

all about the family
Our campsite is family and dog-friendly. There are lots to see all season round on this working farm, with lambing in early spring and cows grazing in the summer with a couple of curious Alpacas always ready for some attention.
Back to Nature
The farm is situated on a small country lane with only the sound of birdsong, moo or baa and the occasional hoot of an owl. A great place to rediscover your sense of well-being amongst the peaceful and relaxing surroundings.
Hobbyists Delight
Whether you enjoy history, fishing, cycling or walking, there is something for all.
Come and explore the artefacts from the Dominican Friary, plenty of public footpaths and cycleways with a nature reserve close by.
Locally sourced
You can enjoy eggs laid by our very own free-range happy chickens and there are plenty of locally sourced suppliers of food for your BBQ or breakfast.
Pubs & Places To Eat
Rhuddlan has a great tourist offering. You can enjoy a range of cafes, pubs and places to eat that cater for all the family within an 8-minute walk.
In Easy Reach
Whether you want to get here by car, train or bus, Rhuddlan is within easy reach of the A55. Rhyl station is only 10 minutes drive away and we have a local bus service running regularly.
